Blend of Indoor and Outdoor Living

Introducing a new home design that can be easily adapted to accommodate varying numbers of occupants. Assemble Design Collective created a layout that features a central living/kitchen zone facing north, flanked by two wings. The owners can comfortably reside day-to-day in the central living zone and Master Bedroom wing or when needed they can open up the entire house to access the bedroom wing, office, and a bathroom.

The recessed living/kitchen space creates an outdoor area that is protected from prevailing winds, with the northern outdoor area divided into three parts. The central area is a roofed outdoor space, while the two open sections on either side allow for a deciduous creeper or seasonal shade sails, without reducing natural light in the living zone during winter months. Clerestory windows above the roofline ensure natural light is maximised and penetrates deep into the living zone.

Recycled red bricks contrast with a modern enseam metal wall cladding to give the home a distinctive look.
